Bio:
Richie 'Milkboy' Taylor was guitarist with the Great Saturday Night Swindle,
Rocky DeValera & The Gravediggers, his own band The Twist,
the Rhythm Kings,
the Flash Harry's and the Wilf Brothers.
This single is his only solo release. The A-side was written by
Paul Cleary, the B-side
by Rocky De Valera & Richie Taylor.
The A-side may in fact be the same recording
(with new vocals) that was lined up as a Paul Cleary's second solo single in November 1983.
It's cetainly the same lineup on the recording: Richie Taylor (lead vocals/acoustic guitar),
Paul Cleary (bass/backing vocals), Martin 'The Lizard' Meaghar (lead guitar), Percy
Robinson (pedal steel) and Dave Moloney (drums side A). The same lineup appears
on the B-side save for Moloney replaced by Paul Moran. Taylor, Meagher and Moloney
were all fresh from the Rhythm Kings;
Robinson was ex Honky Tonk Hero.
Richie Taylor died in 2014.
