Bio:
Splinter group of the Abbey Tavern Singers.
From the liner notes: "The four members of Harmony Rowe originally met at the Abbey Tavern
before it attained the fame it now enjoys. Following the success of the Carling Commerical
and the hit record of it's sound-track "Off To Dublin", Margaret, John, Tommy and
Seamus got together to form a group in 1968. Harmony Rowe was born and when,
after intensive rehearsal, the group entered the highly competitive field of
folk-music in Ireland, they met with immediate success."
A potentially interesting album let down badly by the thin production, which is surprisingly
poor even by the low standard of Irish recordings of this vintage. It's also quite dated for 1970.
