Bio:
Pianist John Keogh had fronted the Greenbeats before leaving in June 1968
to work for RTE. He remained active on the
music scene and in the late 70s formed Full Circle for live gigs in the Dublin area. The lineup
included guitarist Ben Cheevers (ex Uptown Band, Skid Row),
bassist Brian Lynch (ex Bluesville,
The Action,
Next In Line)
and drummer Mog Ahern (ex Greenbeats, Aesop's Fables and Never Greens ).
The band played a hugely successful residency which resulted in one LP. This live-in-the-studio offering
consists of '50s and '60s Rock & Roll covers. It's well played but of minor interest. It was released in the early 1980s
on the band's own Michelle label and has become very hard to find.
The band reformed for the Sunflower Nights charity gigs in 2008, with John Keogh and Brian Lynch joined by
Bernard Barrett (guitar) and Brian Rickaby (drums). Bob Bolton subbed for Brian Lynch on at least one occasion,
and appears on the Sunflower Nights 2xCD.
Notes: Recorded at Trend and Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin with Brian Masterson and Paul Waldrom. Mixed by Tim Martin at Lombard. Featuring guests Keith Donald (sax), Dick Morrissey (sax solo on "Turn On Your Lovelight") and Mike Nolan (trumpet on "Turn On Your Lovelight").
